Merging FAQs

Frequently Asked Questions

1 Is there a limit on the number of PDFs I can combine?
No, there is no set software limit. You can compile dozens of files at once. The ultimate file limit depends entirely on your local device's memory space and browser capacity.
2 What happens if some of my PDFs contain active form fields?
Our merge engine runs field ID mapping routines. It isolates form fields so they do not collide or copy data from one section to another, preserving filled values and active input fields.
3 Can I combine password protected files?
Yes, but you will need to type in the opening password for locked files during the preview stage so our merge engine can open and compile the pages.
4 Does combining files degrade my image qualities?
No. The merging process simply appends page streams structurally. It does not recompress or alter underlying image components, leaving quality levels 100% original.
5 Are my private files uploaded to a server?
No. Merging happens entirely client-side. The file joining commands are computed inside your local browser memory space, ensuring your documents never leave your computer.
